Frequently asked questions
If you don’t find your answer here, reach out—our team will guide you to the right course.
How do I choose between manual and automatic courses?
If you plan to drive manual vehicles, start with Manual Core or Manual Intro. For city commutes in automatic cars, Automatic Core is more relevant. Unsure? Begin with Refresher Intro; your instructor will evaluate your coordination and suggest a path.
How long does it take to become road-test ready?
Most learners need 10–20 hours plus practice between lessons. Our Test Readiness sessions simulate the exam route and feedback style to minimize surprises.
Can I reschedule or cancel a session?
Yes. You can reschedule up to 24 hours before your slot at no cost. Same-day changes may incur a fee to cover instructor time. See our Terms.
Do you offer online theory lessons?
Yes. Several courses are available online for rules, scenarios, and hazard perception. On-road practice remains in-person for safety and legal compliance.
Is my city covered?
We currently operate in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, San Diego, and Sacramento. Check the catalog for city labels on each course.
What safety measures are in place during lessons?
Dual-control cars where required, instructor intervention protocols, pre-drive checklists, and standardized risk communication to keep stress low.
How does pricing work?
Prices are per course and listed in USD. The catalog shows duration and number of lessons. No hidden fees; any extra costs (e.g., DMV exam fees) are noted in course descriptions.
Do you offer group or corporate packages?
Yes. We run bespoke safety sessions for teams, including eco driving and winter readiness. Contact us to scope your program.
What is “Fallows” on your site?
